Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Chatter Nest Speech Therapy PLLC ("Chatter Nest," "we," "us") operates chatternesttherapy.com. This page explains what information the website collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

What this policy covers

This policy covers information submitted through this website — primarily the inquiry form — and information you send us by email or phone before becoming a client.

It does not cover the clinical records we maintain for children who become clients of the practice. Those records are protected health information and are governed by HIPAA and applicable state law. Clients receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices when services begin.

What we collect

When you complete the inquiry form, we collect the details you choose to enter:

We do not ask for your child's name on the inquiry form.

If you allow optional source tracking and later submit the form, we also receive limited visit information: source, medium and campaign labels; the referring website's domain; the landing-page path; and, when present, Google Ads click identifiers (gclid, gbraid, or wbraid). We do not include URL query strings in the recorded landing path or referring domain. You can reject optional tracking and still submit the form. Campaign links should never include names, contact details, or information about a child's health or services.

Every field is optional except the ones marked required. You are never obligated to describe a diagnosis, medical history, or evaluation results in order to reach us.

A note on what to share. The inquiry form is a general contact form, not a secure patient portal. Please do not include your child's name, diagnosis, IEP details, medical history, or evaluation results. For family inquiries, scheduling questions or other logistics are enough to start a conversation. We'll gather any clinical detail later, through appropriate channels.

How we use it

We use what you send us to:

We do not use inquiry information to build advertising profiles or target ads.

What we don't do

Who else touches your information

A small number of service providers handle your submission in the course of delivering it to us. They process it on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

All three are based in the United States, and your information is processed there. If we add another system later — a scheduling or practice management platform, for example — we'll list it here before it starts handling inquiries.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to address a credible risk of harm to a child — an obligation that applies to all licensed clinicians.

Fonts and analytics

This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads. Optional source tracking is off unless you choose "Allow optional tracking" on the main site. If you allow it, the site stores the first visit's limited source details in your browser for up to 90 days and may include those details with an inquiry you submit. Your choice is remembered in your browser for up to 180 days. You can change it at any time using Privacy settings; declining does not affect the contact form.

If you allow tracking and a GA4 Measurement ID has been configured, Google Analytics 4 receives a lead event containing your selected form role and a landing-page path without query strings, along with standard technical/event information described by Google. The site code suppresses its default page-view event and disables Google Signals and ad-personalization signals; additional collection can depend on the GA4 web-stream settings. Google Analytics is provided by Google; see Google's privacy policy. We do not use advertising pixels or use this information to target ads.

Children's information

This website is written for parents, caregivers, and school administrators, not for children, and we don't knowingly collect information directly from children. Any information about a child on this site comes from the adult submitting the form, and we treat it with corresponding care.

How long we keep it

If your inquiry doesn't lead to services, we keep it only as long as needed to follow up, and you may ask us to delete it sooner. Source information included in an inquiry is kept with that inquiry. The browser's first-visit source record expires after 90 days, and the tracking choice expires after 180 days. Google Analytics data retention is controlled by the practice's GA4 account settings. If you become a client, clinical records are retained for the period required by New York and New Jersey professional licensing rules, which is longer than we would otherwise keep anything.

Your choices

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete an inquiry. Email us and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law; tell us what you'd like and we'll honor it regardless of which statute applies.

Security

We use reputable providers, keep accounts protected, and limit access to the people who need it. No method of transmitting information over the internet is perfectly secure, which is the reason for the note above about what to include in the form.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
